This series contains bill files arranged by subject, committee files, foreign relations conference briefing materials, legislative activity records, and floor speeches as published in the "Congressional Record." Judiciary Committee files include Supreme Court nominations hearings of Robert Bork and Clarence Thomas. There is also information regarding an oversight hearing on the Justice Department's handling of Nazi War criminals living in the U.S. The Subcommittee on Immigration and Refugee Policy files document the legislative history and implementation of Simpson's Immigration Reform and Control Act (Simpson-Mazzoli bill). Also of note are files regarding the Miroslav Medvid political asylum incident. Veteran Affairs committee materials include constituent correspondence and casework, and cover issues such as Agent Orange claims, Persian Gulf War Syndrome, VA Medical Center health care, and Vietnam War POW/MIA live sightings. Environment and Public Works Committee materials include hearings on infrastructure, funding for the John F.
